I'll always cherish the memories of our exploits while working at the cable tv co in the 80 s. No comedy routine could be funnier than the stuff we pulled! I will miss you my brother.

Bernie was a gifted guy in so many ways, not only was he a great comedian, but also a great filmmaker. I first met him in the early 2000s at the at the BM-VM (Buffalo Movie and Video maker) group. We worked to together on a few short films and generally enjoyed talking about movies and pop culture at meetings. I knew he wanted to do big things in the realm of video mixed with comedy. I hope he can now do these great things in heaven. I met he family a few times and they were great. I will always think of him. RIP my friend.

To the Rice family, I knew Bernie from roughly 40 years ago. It is worth more than a notable mention although in the course of my life I only knew Bernie a very short period of time. We went to high school together. I found him kind, strange, like-able and gentle. I wont get the chance to make up for lost time now but maybe one day we will meet. It is important for me to let you know that he gained my respect that lasted the years. I'm very sorry for your loss. Walter

Dear Teresa, Lamar and Kalina: I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie (and you) at Karen and Kent's St. Patrick's dinners. Seeing you there, and listening to Bernie's wit, was a highlight of the celebrations. Also, I was moved by the great love between Bernie and Teresa: you would think they were kids dating rather than the long married parents of two then almost adult children. I did not know Bernie well, but am so glad I got to meet him several times, and I am so sorry for the loss which his family is suffering. Teresa, Lamar and Kalina, please accept my condolences and best wishes for you to heal and, along with your friends and extended family, get through this. Bernie will be remembered by everyone who ever met him!
