Catherine A. (nee Brzyski) Lubera "Kasia" "Cathie" age 63 passed away after an extended illness on Thursday March 3, 2016 at 9:40 pm in South Buffalo Mercy Hospital.

Catherine was born on July 21, 1952 in Buffalo New York the daughter of Henry and Josephine (nee Kisiel) Brzyski.

She was an extraordinary "Polish Grandmother" in every sense of the word. She was an amazing cook and known for her homemade soups and roasts. She enjoyed making wine, especially Strawberry and dandelion wine.  She had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her house plants.

She will also be remembered for her excellent sewing skills and was a remarkable seamstress. She made blankets, crocheted hats and made clothing for her granddaughter, especially Polish Heritage outfits.  She loved McDonald's Coffee and smoking cigarettes. She was a very adventerous person and always willing to help anyone in need at any time.
Catherine enjoyed watching soap operas, "Days of Our Lives" was her favorite.

She was an unbelievable and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was her first priority.

Beloved wife of Mark D. Lubera; Dearest mother of Jospeh, Jacob and Ann Marie (Chas.) Graver. Loving and Amazing Babcia of Jospehine and Sylvia. Fond sister of  Stanley T. (Diane) Brzyski and Rose M. (Richard) Boccolucci. In addition to being predeceased by her parents, she is also predeceased by her brothers Henry M. and Martin J. (survived by Jennifer)
Brzyski. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to assemble at the Church of St. Casimir on Wednesday March 9, 2016 where Catherines' Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. The church is located at 160 cable Street (off of Clinton Street.) The main entrance of the church is at Weimar and Casimir Sts.  There will be no prior visitation.

When I think of Cathie, I think of her sweet disposition and having so many good times with her in our younger day. God rest her soul, and comfort all the family and friends she held so dear.

Jake and family - you have our deepest sympathy and hope that all of the wonderful memories you have of your mother, wife and grandmother sustain you through this difficult time. We so enjoyed meeting Catherine when she came to visit Jake in Park Falls WI.
