NOWINSKI - Cecelia T. (nee Wojtowicz)

Cecelia T. (nee Wojtowicz) Nowinski, was born in Buffalo New York on September 19, 1923 the daughter of the late  Jacob Wojtowicz and the late Victoria (nee Jastrzembska) Wojtowicz.

She  married William S. Nowinski in 1947 and enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 1993. She was an extraordinary homemaker. She lived most of her life on Spann Street in the Kaisertown section of Buffalo New York.  She was a long time and active parishioner of the Church of St. Casimir. Her late father Jacob served as a Trustee of the church for many years.  Cecelia enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with her family and loved living in Kaisertown.

Cecelia passed away peacefully on Sunday April 10, 2016 in Father Baker Manor in Orchard Park New York where she resided since 2013.  Beloved wife of the late William S. Nowinski. Dear sister of Angeline (the late Edwin) Hejmowski. Cecelia is predeceased by her siblings John (the late Daniela) Wojtowicz, Stanley (survived by Dorothy) Wojtowicz, Stephania (the late Chester) Ziemba and Helen (the late Joseph) Guzek. She is the much loved aunt of many caring nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to commemorate Cecelia's life on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home 154 Weimar Street (at the corner of Casimir Street in Kaisertown). Liturgical prayers will be recited on Friday at 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by Cecelia's Funeral Mass at 9:00 am in the RC Church of St. Casimir. Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery in West Seneca.  The Family requests the courtesy of no flowers.
