HOELTKE - Bernice P. (nee Szuflewski)

Age 75, of Depew New York passed away after a long ilness on Friday evening, October 14, 2016 at Buffalo General Medical Center.

Born on June 21, 1941 the daughter of the late Paul and Pearl (nee Ureaniak) Szuflewski. Beloved wife and best friend of Roger H., Loving mother of David (Cathy), Roger, Jr., (Donna), Larry (Michele) and Kevin (Sherrie). Loving sister of Patricia Urban. Dedicated grandmother of 14 and 5 great grandchildren

Bernice was a member of the Red Hat Society, she loved bowling, and enjoyed trips to the casino. She baked and decorated wedding cakes as a hobby for family and friends. She always baked birthday cakes for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved doing crafts and every year always hand made a christmas tree ornament for each family member.  She had a dedicated Sewing and craft room in her home.  She belonged to the Home Makers Club which consisted of a group of ladies who would meet at the Lancaster Fire Hall and make various crafts.  She also loved doing needle point and crocheting.

Bernice also prided herself on providing haircuts for her family. She showed extraordinary care and love in every detail of each task she did. Her works were an act of love.

She will always be remembered and cherished as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother , great-grandmother, sister and a friend to many. She was an excellent homemaker and always took great pride in her home and family.

Family and friends are invited to commemorate Bernice's life on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home, 154 Weimar Street (at the corner of Casimir Street). Bernice's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Epiphany United Church of Christ (If attending the funeral service, please assemble at the church). The address of the church is 9365 Clarence Center Road Clarance NY 14032.  The Funeral Service will be celebrated by Pastor Mark Dibelka.  Kindly direct expressions of sympathy to the Church.

Dear Rog, David & Cathy, Roger & Donna, Larry & Mischele and Kevin & Sherrie, I am so very sad for our loss...There are no helpful words to express the loss of someone so loving, special and dear...We were dear friends over 40 yrs. - we watched you all grow into fine men and create loving families of your own - you brought her so much joy!
