In Chicago on July 24,2017 formally of Buffalo New York. He was born on October 21, 1953 the son of the late Richard and the late Theresa (nee Blamowski). Beloved brother of Allen (Charlene) Blamowski, the late Richard (survived by Diana) McGowan  Jr.,Colleen Bonus (Kyle Courtney), Cindi McGowan and the late Charleen "Miki" McGowan. Dearest friend of Debbie and Steve Janulis. Beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews and Lenny is also survived by wonderful friends in Buffalo and Chicago.

  Family and friends will be received at the KEVIN M. MASON FUNERAL HOME 154 Weimar Street ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2017 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9:00 AM AND 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery.

Lenny, I didn't know you very long..and I truly believed your life was cut short. What I did know and respected is you said what was on you mind no matter if it pissed people off which 9 out of 10 it did. And the other thing I respected is how you took my husband Tommy under your wing years ago for that thank you. May you Rest In Peace with NO MORE PAIN!!!

Lenny was a great person, but Lenny was a even better friend. You have help me into the man I am today and I couldn't be anymore thankful for that. Thank you for serving our country and more importantly providing my aunt with endless happiness. I hope one day when my time comes that I touch many people's hearts as you did for everyone else and help making them to become a better person! God bless you Lenny I love and miss you

Lenny, I didn't realize how much you touch my heart when you left us.i had so many things I would of done beside and with you.i wish we would of had more time to spend with you, no realizing and taking life for granted and I would of done anything for you.i know you would of done anything for me.their will always be a void in my life.since I never really told you how much I love you. Hopefully one day we will meet again.

Mcgowen, It doesn't seem real that you are not here pissing me off or driving me nuts ... We shared a lot of good and bad memories . You will always have a special place in my heart no matter what happened . I hope you finally are in peace . Rest in Paradise ..... I will see you when I see you ......

Lenny, Thank you for the amazing friendship you gave. You were my angel on this earth. You promised to watch over if you passed before me...on my left shoulder... Leonard all I Can say is you were one of he most amazing people I ever meet. Thank you for allowing me in your life and letting me see the real you....wonderful.
