KRULAK - Geraldine Rose "Gerri" "Rose" age 100 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born in Buffalo NY on January 10 1918 the daughter of the late  Walter G. & Rose P. (nee Wrobel) Krulak.


She is predeceased by all her siblings; George (late Victoria) Krulak, Helen (late Howard) Ostanpowski, Katherine (late Roy) Franklin, James (late Ann) Krulak. Rose is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews as well as care givers and dear friends Josephine and Michael Jankowski, Sylvia Reese and Elizabeth "Betty" Urban.

Rose lived an extraordinary life and worked for New York Telephone for almost fifty years. She traveled the world but especially loved Scottland, Ireland and England. She was an avid reader who could boast she read over 1,000 novels in her life time. She loved to knit and crochet when she was able. She always enjoyed giving her nieces and nephews her homemade gifts.

Most would consider her a "Master  Baker" who was self taught. her pies, cakes and especially her breads were out of this world. Never married, she devoted her love, time and various talents to her nieces and nephews and then their families.

Rose was a deeply religious woman. She always believed with faith and prayers anything could be accomplished. She believed in the power of praying the rosary. In her later years as her health begain to fail, she never lost her sense of humor or quick wit. Unfortunately, she developed dementia which stripped her of so many joys and precious memories of her family.

At Rose's request, a private family entobment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be no prior visitation or services scheduled. To honor her memory and celebrate her life, please consider doing an ack of kindness or a good deed to a stranger.  Rose always led a quite and non-assuming life, but at the same time, had a strong presence.
