Stanley E. Wojick

WOJICK - Stanley Edward

Of Cheektowaga New York age 88 passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Born in Poland to the late Lester and the late Katarina (nee Neuschmitz) Wojick. Stanley was one of nine children.

His family re-located from Poland to the United States when he was ten years old and eventually settled in Cheektowaga New York. He met a local "Kaisertown"  girl named Helen A. Lewandowski who he married after two months of courting. They celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage in September of 2019.

Stanley worked at the Ford Motor Plant all his life in various capacities. He became a Licensed Electrician after completing his apprenticeship and he retired from that capacity. He and his family enjoyed traveling, especially home to Poland and all accross the United States. he loved camping, fishing and canoeing. he was a member of St. Josaphat's Parish and a devoted catholic and family man.

Stanley was the devoted husband of Helen A. (nee Lewandowski); Adored and much loved and respected father to Robert (Staci), Donald (Lucille), Elizabeth (Thomas) Unger, Joseph (Lori), Michael (the late Joanne) and kathleen (Edward ) Yetter. Best grandpa to fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dearest brother of Lawrence (Eleanor), the late Harriet (the late George) Comstock, Michael (the late Dorothy), Stella (the late Raymond) Wojciewoski, Anne (the late Donald) Redman, Virginia "Ginny" (Stanley) Tomaszewski, Mary Elizabeth (Kevin) McCannon, the late Paul (survived by Roberta) and Francis "Frankie" (Rose). Much loved uncle of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, many friends and extended family and last but certainly not least his very best cannine buddy "Oscar" for almost ten years.

Although Stanley was much loved he requested no visitation. He always wanted people to remember him as he was, a larger than life person with a wicked sense of humor and always ready to help anyone who needed him. At his request, his family will honor his legacy and celebrate his life through the Holy Eucharist and Liturgy of a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat's Parish at their convenience.

Pops, I miss you already. There is peace in knowing you are not suffering and we are grateful that you did not linger long. I will also have you by my side on our fishing trips. You were always our biggest fan and you were loved deeply by all of us. When Carrie and I get married in August, there will be a seat for you. I love you and cherish our memories. I could write a book, but that is what my heart is for....until our next great adventure. Ian (#9) and Carrie
